Hallelujah!

L.S.,

Hallelujah! He's spoken the magic words...

Congratulations to all new EU citizens!

Martin

P.S. Just some things for further study: The Key Findings on Bulgaria, the Key Findings on Romania and a discussion of the accompanying measures.

L.S.,

Actually, I heard that one of the things BG still had some issues with is the oversight of aircraft maintenance. And given that I flew with Bulgaria Air last month, I'm not sure what to think...

P.S. page 29 of the Monitoring Report:

"In the area of air transport, joint inspections by the European Aviation Safety Agency
(EASA) and the Joint Aviation Authorities (JAA) have revealed significant and persistent
shortcomings in the administrative capacity of the Bulgarian Civil Aviation Authority to
ensure the necessary safety oversight, to implement the Community requirements on
certification, of airworthiness and maintenance of aircraft and to ensure that the large
fleet designed in the Commonwealth of Independent States can meet these requirements."

P.P.S. Now I know that Atanaska must have found herself a job. Otherwise, she surely wouldn't have forgotten to make/post Angelina a birthday card yesterday...
