As you probably know, Germany takes over the EU presidency from Finland on 1 January 2007. One of the German presidency’s top priorities is to revive the Constitution.
"We need to think about how we make the constitution a success. I want the constitution, the German government wants the constitution" , Ms Merkel said!

ditka, bon anniversaire a michel de ma part!
L.S.,
Shame on the Germans for putting their own flag in their presidency logo. As far as I could tell, none of the recent presidencies, not even the UK, have done that.
Kudos to Romania and Bulgaria, and welcome to the club. The party in Sofia looked like great fun, which explains why it took Nace so long to put up her new year´s post.
As for the constitution, the chance of any real progress during the next six months is slim to none, given that NL will spend that time trying to sort out the consequences of the recent election, while France won´t have their presidentials until April/May. (In any event, it is too soon. No new referendum can be held over here until at least 2009.)
Happy new year to everyone,
ciao,
Martin
most of them did it, martin, not only the germans
L.S.,
Hardly. What the Austrians did was very subtle, so that doesn't count. Before that, the last country to put its flag in its logo, according to your link, was Italy.
Anyway, it doesn't matter. We'll just have to use the anniversary logo. I'm actually more curious about the gigantic art thingie the Germans are going to put in the middle of RP Schumann. I don't think it's there yet, but once it is I'd appreciate a picture or a link...
citka, merci de la part de michel! :)
